Honor 20 And Honor 20 Pro were launched with Premium Specifications And features to Compete

Huawei is having a tough time with most of the US companies going to halt business with the Chinese tech firm, it didn’t stop its sub-brand Honor to launch two magnificent phones though. Honor has recently unveiled Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro in a glittering event in London, UK. Both phones pack premium features and specs of a flagship phone which you can check out in TechJuice Mobile section here.

Honor 20 variants are being acknowledged by technology media as the challenging mid-rangers for flagships like OnePlus 7 Pro. This acknowledgment is probably based on top of the line quad camera setup, punch-hole displays similar to what we have already seen in Galaxy S10 variants, Huawei’s high-end Kirin 980 processors, and the unique side-mounted fingerprint scanner arrangement.

Honor 20 series features and specs

Not to be confused with the Honor View 20 released earlier this year, both Honor 20 and 20 Pro models have a 6.26-inch “All-view” IPS LCD with a 4.5mm hole punch in the top-left corner. Both phones offer a 91.6% screen-to-body ratio. The company is boasting the rear design as their “Dynamic Holographic Design”which employs a two-stage process to create a 3D curved glass back with a “depth-inducing” optical effect. Moreover, the side-mounted fingerprint scanner on both phones will take 0.3 seconds of placing your finger on the power button to unlock the phone.

Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro have 4 cameras on the rear, however, as expected the Pro model has slightly better camera hardware. The difference between the two models isn’t quite prominent in appearance but the Pro version’s rear camera features the fastest aperture among smartphones, according to Huawei, as it directs 60 percent higher light towards the 48 MP main sensor.

The main difference between the cameras on the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro is that the Honor 20’s 2MP Depth Assist sensor is substituted for an 8MP Telephoto sensor with OIS on the Honor 20 Pro. On the contrary, the 48MP main camera on the Honor 20 Pro also has OIS and a wider f/1.4 aperture for better low-light photography. The Honor 20 Pro is powered by the flagship Kirin 980 chipset and packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5 SuperCharge. A flat battery will hit 50% charge in 30 minutes.

On the other hand, Honor 20 packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage but features the same SoC Kirin 980 chipset. Both Honor 20 phones feature 9.1 surrounds sound virtualization that promises a cinema-like experience. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, though. The Honor 20 series comes in 4 different colors: Midnight Black and Safari Blue for the base model and Phantom Blue and Phantom Black. Honor 20 will cost you around $550 while the Pro version is worth $670 which is about the same as OnePlus 7 Pro. The phone will be made available in emerging markets in the coming weeks.
